You can imagine that in a large building like this, there’s a lot to clean. We have a diverse housekeeping team that is always there for each other—just like a close-knit family.

In addition to our unique 141 hotel rooms, there are also meeting rooms and our showpiece—the Chapel—that need to be cleaned. And doing that in and around such a beautiful location is truly a pleasure.

Besides your talent for thorough cleaning, you are also:

• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment.

• Knowledgeable about different cleaning products and materials.

• Flexible and available to work weekends.

• Responsible and detail-oriented—you naturally want to avoid any complaints about unclean hotel rooms.

• Physically fit.

• Living in or near Amsterdam, with easy access by bike or public transport.

• Able to speak Dutch, English, or Spanish.

• Travel allowance for commuting;

• Starting salary of €17.92 per hour, including holiday pay and accrued vacation days (based on a zero-hours contract). After 8 months, there is the possibility of fixed hours;

About Hotel Arena

Hotel Arena is a monumental four-star superior design hotel, located in Oosterpark in Amsterdam. The historic building, dating back to 1888, has served various purposes over the years—from a Roman Catholic girls’ orphanage to a sleep-in—and has evolved into a contemporary hotel where history and modern design come together.

The hotel features 141 renovated rooms, a restaurant with 130 seats, and a spacious terrace (approximately 150 seats in summer), five creative meeting and event studios, the Salon, and the iconic Chapel with a capacity of up to 1,000 guests.

Hotel Arena positions itself as a cultural meeting place where hospitality, art, design, and events converge. Under one roof, hotel guests, business relations, and visitors come together for overnight stays, dining, meetings, exhibitions, concerts, and large-scale events.
