Public Area Cleaner

The team consists of several housekeeping staff members, led by our Housekeeping Manager. Together, you are responsible for ensuring the building has a clean and well-maintained appearance.

Within this team, we work with different shifts: the morning shift (06:00 – 14:00), mid shift (09:00 – 17:00), evening shift (16:00 – 00:00), and during events, a night shift may also be scheduled. You will be scheduled across all shifts, both on weekdays and weekends.

As a motivated Public Area Cleaner, you are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the public areas, such as the lobby, bar, restrooms, corridors, elevators, restaurant, and terrace. It is also very important that other areas, such as offices, meeting rooms, and the staff canteen, look spotless.

Finally, you play an important supporting role in the transport of packaging materials and waste.

In addition to having an affinity with the hospitality industry, you are flexible, guest-oriented, and have an eye for detail.

Furthermore:

• You are persistent and a real go-getter;

• Preferably you live in Amsterdam and speak Dutch, English, or Spanish;

• You have at least 1 year of relevant work experience;

• You are available flexibly, both on weekdays and weekends.

Hotel Arena is a monumental four-star design hotel located in Oosterpark in Amsterdam. The historic building, dating back to 1888, has served various purposes over the years — from a Roman Catholic girls’ orphanage to a sleep-in — and has evolved into a contemporary hotel where history and modern design come together.
